New leadership at Amsterdam Software

After 20 years with Amsterdam Software, founder, and CEO Ries Vriend has decided to take the next step in his life and leave his role on March 1st, 2021.

Amsterdam Software is the provider of FBO One -- the leading platform for FBOs worldwide. The company will continue to operate as a standalone entity under the complete ownership of World Fuel Services Corporation.

Oliver King, CEO of the Avinode Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of World Fuel Services, will replace Ries Vriend as CEO. Oliver is based in Sweden and will divide this time between Avinode Group and Amsterdam Software.

The Amsterdam Software team remains unchanged, with Adam Marriott, Radu Nitu, and Richard Squires heading up Product, Engineering, and Client Relationship teams.

Ries Vriend says: "It has been a great journey to found Amsterdam Software and FBO One. Building relationships with customers all over the world has been a great pleasure. With my departure, the company will be in the hands of a great team, all of whom are very capable and customer-focused. As for me, I will explore start-up opportunities and plan to follow the progress of the team".

Oliver King says, "Ries leaves Amsterdam Software in a strong position, and we wish him well as he departs. The leadership team has over 20 years of FBO One experience, and we look forward to continuing to support FBO One customers around the world."
